National Online Quiz Competition for LIS students on the occasion of National Librarian’s Day 2026

On the occasion of National Librarian’s Day 2026, lisforum_orissa is happy to announce the organisation of a National Online Quiz Competition exclusively for LIS students across the country.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Only current-year students can participate in the competition.
2. There will be 60 multiple-choice questions on LIS. The time duration will be 30 minutes.
3. The result will be declared during the National Librarian's Day celebration on 12th August 2026. The programme is scheduled at 7.00 P.M.
4. The first three winners will get a Digital certificate and an attractive Prize, which will be sent through courier/post to their registered address given in the registration.

6. Only Registered participants will receive the Quiz Link 5 minutes before the competition.
7. The decision of the Committee will be final.

ACHYUTA NANDA-SUBARNALATA SAHU MEMORIAL BEST LIBRARIAN AWARD

We have the pleasure to announce that the forum is going to confer "ACHYUTA NANDA-SUBARNALATA SAHU MEMORIAL BEST LIBRARIAN AWARD" for a distinguished LIS professional who has made a remarkable contribution to the LIS profession and development of LIS professionals on the occasion of “Librarian’s Day 2026” scheduled to be held online on 12th August 2026.
Nominations for the same in the prescribed format (available on the forum’s website) are invited from professionals. A citation and a memento will be presented to the awardee as a token of appreciation.
1. Eligibility Criteria:
a) Any Indian National from any place of India can apply.
b) The applicant must be in the regular post of Librarians ( Chief Librarian/Librarian/ Dy.Librarian / Asst.Librarian)/Directors/Library Officers or equivalent posts working in any Govt./Semi Govt./Private institutions.
c) Minimum 10 years of experience in the above capacity.
2. Please fill the form with your due signature and send the scanned copy with relevant attachments to the “lisforum_orissa” through e-mail only (Email ID: lisforumorissa@gmail.com) on or before 31st July 2026
3. The decision of the Selection Committee is final and abiding, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
